Trunk or Treat

The Sunday before Halloween,we did some pre-trick or treating.  We started out at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  The kids each got a huge candy necklace as well as some other goodies.  Then, we went to the Trunk or Treat at school.  We decided to set up our van this year.  We decorated it in a Colt’s theme since Leland gave us some stuff last year.  There was a good turn out and the kids had a lot of fun.  They played games and got plenty of candy.  Macie was really good at the ghost race and Gavin was wrapped up like a mummy.  They loved to just run around with their friends.

For Halloween, we let the kids go and buy a costume this year.  Macie was Elsa, Lilah was Anna, and Gavin was Falcon.  I wasn’t thrilled the girls were going to be the same as everyone else, but went with it.  I even tried to convince Gavin to be Olaf or another character, but he wouldn’t go for it.  There were three sister sets of Elsa and Anna at the Trunk or Treat alone.

I have to say it was worth it to see the kids in their costumes.  They were all so excited and Macie looked in the mirror and said, “I look like the real Elsa!”  I almost cried!
