We had a great 4th of July! We went to Owensboro to spend time with Aunt Beth, Uncle Wil, and Parker. Grammie and Pops also joined us. We had a chance to swim in their new pool. The kids had a great time and Macie was thrilled when she discovered she could touch the bottom. Even Lilah got in the water for a little bit! Uncle Wil rigged up a basketball goal for us. After we were in the water for about an hour, we got out and dried off for lunch. We ate, let the kids play for a bit, and visited before heading home. The kids were asleep in no time. Unfortunately, they woke up when we got home. I didn't feel so well on the way home and Brian let me take a nap. Thankfully, when I slept it rained a bit. When I woke up, we decided to go out for dinner. We picked Golden Corral. Brian and I thought that it wouldn't be that busy, but we were wrong. The place was packed! We still managed to have a nice dinner as a family. Once we were home, it was time for baths, cleaning up, and bed. Brian and I spent the rest of the night talking. Overall, it was a great way to spend our day!
Macie loved wearing Parker's clown nose!
When we stopped at a gas station for Macie to pee, the man working gave her this flag!
