FINALLY!!
Last night, Macie officially slept through the night!! She was in her crib from about 8:30 to 5:00 in the morning! Brian and I were so pumped this morning, but we hope this is a new trend. Our little girl is growing up!

Welcome Home Allie....Take 2
Last weekend, we were supposed to go to Indy and stay both nights but with all that was going on, we just went up for the day on Saturday. They were having a big welcome home party for over 4000 soldiers who served in Iraq last year. It was a neat ceremony and a chance for us to get away for the day from all of the craziness happening here. We had planned to visit our friends, Amy and Doug, and meet their new little guy, Sam, but he had RSV, so we had to call it off. Overall, it was a fun day!
We met my mom and sisters at their hotel and walked to Lucas Oil Stadium. We put Macie in this carrier for the first time and I don't think she knew what to think.
Here is Allie with her unit. She is in the third row, second one in.
After the ceremony, we all went to Applebees to eat lunch. Macie wouldn't look at the camera for this picture.
Such a big girl!
Thanks to a wonderful co-worker of mine, Macie has a new high chair! Look how big and grown-up she looks!! Before long, she will be starting cereal and sitting in her high chair more often. The first time was a success...no screaming and she fell asleep while we were cooking dinner!
I'm Back!!!
I know that I haven't blogged in a while, but we have been through quite an ordeal over the last week and a half. Last Tuesday night, we lost power at around 10:30 at night. We stayed at our house that night and took turns holding Macie all night. The next morning we called around and my sister had power, so we headed to her one-bedroom apartment. We were doing great until around 3 when her power went out too. Then, we headed to my parent's house. They had a generator for heat, but no lights. It was better than we had, so off we went. The next night, Allie's power turned back on so we went back to her apartment and stayed there until our power came back on Monday night. That's right....6 long days later. Being a nomad with a 3 1/2 month old baby is no fun!
Well, we are finally trying to get things back in order...Macie's sleep schedule, our house and car but we are more grateful than ever for electricity!!

Luckily, we didn't have any damage to our house, but we definitely have a big mess to clean up in our front yard!!
