Trick or Treating

After school, we went to my parents’ house to get the kids dressed for trick or treating.  We went to Aunt Jennifer’s house first.  We visited for a bit and were surprised by Uncle Gary.  My kids LOVE Uncle Gary.  He is full of knowledge about all kinds of critters.  He sends them random texts and they just love it.

Next, we went to Aunt Julie’s house.  She had just gotten home and was glad to catch us.  We talked for a few minutes and were about to leave when Mary and the girls pulled up. We stayed a bit longer and as we were getting ready to leave again, Uncle Alan pulled in to see the kids in their costumes.

Next, we stopped at Sonic for 50cent corn dogs.  The kids snacked all night but that was a little bit of substance and the price couldn’t be beat!  Then, we headed home to meet Daddy.

Next up, we went to our neighbors and a few houses in the neighborhood.  The kids have never gone to any houses of people we don’t know so they were thrilled and troopers.  We didn’t last long because it was bitter COLD!  One lady blamed it on all of the Elsa’s out.  Lilah didn’t like the scary scream mask one boy was wearing and has mentioned it over and over.  Our neighborhood was FULL of kids and families.  I’m not sure where they came from, but they were everywhere!

Our next stop was the Morris house.  The kids played with their dog for a bit.  We didn’t stay long because the kids were ready to go to our last stop.

Our final stop of the night was Aunt Allie’s house.  Grandma and Grandpa were there, too!  The kids went through all of their candy and got to help Aunt Allie pass some out to other kids.  Brian and I even ended up eating dinner there.  The kids had a great Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!

During the day on Halloween, Macie and Gavin each had parties at school.  They took candy to contribute and Gavin got to dress up.  Macie word her hawaiian clothes for Red Ribbon Week.  Preschool did their annual parade and I was able to snap a few pictures of Falcon in my classroom.

The Kindergarten and First Grade classes celebrated Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday.  She is the founder of Girl Scouts and happens to have a birthday on Halloween.  I was also able to sneak in during Macie’s party and snap a few pictures.  They had some of the cutest snacks.  I had a picture of Macie, too, but it must be on my old phone.  Crazy day, but lots of fun!

Soccer Party

Thursday, October 30th, we went to Macie’s soccer party at Gattitown.  My kids have never really been to Gattitown, so they had no idea what to expect.  I tried to explain to them that it was a mix between Cici’s and ChuckE Cheese.  They were super excited.  We actually got by without spending a fortune, but it was not exactly an enjoyable time.  They took my food away and I didn’t really have time to get more because they kids were ready to play games.  Everything was so expensive and it was hard to keep track of the kids.  There also wasn’t much for small kids to do.  I honestly could care less if we go back for a long time.  Macie had fun and it was a good way to end her soccer season!

Climbing Bushes

The kids have been enjoying climbing the Rose of Sharon bush in front of the house.  They were having fun, but I think they were starting to tear up the bush so we had to put an end to it.  Gavin got in the highest in the bush and the girls wanted me to take his picture.  Macie said, “Maybe this will be his thing!”  I thought that was super cute!
