Blog Challenge

One of the items on my 101 in 1001 list is to blog every day for a month.  I decided that I would attempt that challenge in August.  My goal is to blog every single day in August, but I will count it as a success if I at least post 31 times.  I've written up several tonight so I can just post one each day.  We start school tomorrow, so I'm sure I will have plenty to post!

Babysitting Andre and Ari

Yesterday afternoon, the girls and I went to grandma's house and watched the kids for her.  I offered because I found a mystery book club at the library that was featuring an Agatha Christie book.  Agatha Christie is her favorite author and she's read pretty much everything she's written.  We had fun playing with the kids and Grandpa brought home happy meals from McDonalds!  Macie even lost her tooth that had been hanging for days, but the tooth fairy forgot to come.  Looks like the tooth fairy has some making up to do!

Froggy Fun and Photobombs!

Gavin and Froggy all ready to go before his procedure this week!  Those two have been through a LOT together!

I was trying to take a few pictures of Lilah in her cute outfit and Gavin quickly wheeled himself into the background!

Schoola Score

I've heard about a site called Schoola for a while now, but hadn't signed up or looked into it much.  I saw that I could get a $20 credit simply for signing up, so I thought I would give it a try.  All of the clothes are gently used and a portion of the profits are donated back to schools.  The shipping was free so I was actually able to get five articles of clothing for Lilah for $1 out of pocket!  I got the items in the mail today and I'm so happy with everything.  I definitely will check out the site again in the future!

Cousin Time

Yesterday, we went to Sturgis to drop off the girls.  Aunt Beth came with the boys and Blake was already there, so we had a few hours of cousin time!  The kids all love to get together and had a great time.  The girls will stay there for a few nights because of a dinner Brian and I had and Gavin's upcoming procedure.
Gavin got a few presents for his upcoming procedure! Plus, Grammie and Pops gave all of the kids new shoes!

 Matching shirts!

Aunt Beth got the girls some coloring books and gel pens.  They spent quite a bit of time coloring in them!

Coomes Kids Spend the Night Take 2

Last summer we had Bailey, Reagan, and Lilly spend the night and the kids had a great time.  So, we decided to have them all three come over on Friday night.  The boys stayed in Gavin's room and played video games the entire time.  The girls...well we had lots of fun!

CMOE Science Camp

Because Gavin didn't get to play any sports this year, we signed him up for the "Mad Scientist" camp at CMOE.  He was so excited and it couldn't come fast enough.  Finally, the time was here and he did great!  There were a few hiccups (there are a lot of stairs there and his legs were so worn out and a bathroom issue), but overall it was a wonderful experience.  The first day he got a sucker for being the best behaved boy in his class.  Another day at drop off, a teacher asked him if he was going to be in first grade next year.  When he said yes, she said, "I just can't believe that!  You are way too smart!!"  That was a proud mama moment!  I sure missed my boy when he was gone from 9-4, but so happy for him.  He already wants to sign up for another camp!

The girls and I stayed after drop off to play for a while.  Gavin was so excited to see us and gave us hugs.  Love that sweet boy!
