The chickens continue to get bigger and seem to be enjoying life! They come and go from the coup to the run. We bring them lots of treats of fruits, veggies, grass, grit, and fermented food. They are also eating a lot more of their food. We ended up buying a heated water container for this winter and colored bands for their feet. The bands help us to tell them apart. Brian and the kids are holding them more. Gavin and Lilah will hold them no problem. Macie still isn’t quite so sure. Brian’s arm is in the way, but Lilah was holding the chicken all by herself!
Macie won’t hold them, but she will catch crickets with her hands and feed them to the frogs and chickens…go figure!
