My Grandpa and I
My parents and Allie came over for the Colt's game today. Gavin wore his new flannel shirt from Grandpa and he looked absolutely adorable in it. He is looking more and more like a big boy and less like a baby. I had to get a picture of Grandpa and Gavin in their flannel shirts!

11 Months Old!
How in the world is Gavin 11 months old? In one short month, we will be celebrating his first birthday...I can't believe it! Here is what the dude has been up to...

- He is eating more and more "real" food all of the time. We have another good eater on our hands and he will eat just about anything we put in front of him. He is down to three 4ounce bottles a day. He doesn't care for the stuff much anymore. He also tried milk for the first time. We started giving it to him at snack time because it takes a while to make the change from a hot bottle to cold milk.
- He is still a great sleeper. He naps three times a day and is in bed by 6:30 or 7:00 every night. He wakes up about 12 hours later. No complaints there!
- He has lots of teeth (I think the count is 8) and is a drool bucket. I'm pretty sure some more will be popping up any day now!
- He started physical therapy and has had 2 sessions. We are very pleased with Miss Melissa and his progress. Even though he isn't close to pulling up yet, we've see LOTS of progress in the last month or so. He still gets around with his one-armed army crawl and is fast!
- He continues to be very easy going and a determined little guy. Not much gets in his way!
- He lights up when he sees Mommy, Daddy, Macie, or people he knows. Sometimes (although rarely) he will even fuss to be held. Mommy eats this up because Gavin isn't super cuddly.
- He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, cars, his big sister Macie, to be tickled, and anything that he can bang together. He is the best little boy and we are so blessed to have him in our family!
First Juice Box
On Christmas Eve, Grammie sent home a whole bag of juice boxes. In the past when Macie got a juice box, I would open it and squeeze it into a cup. I decided to let her try and drink it out of the box today. She thought she was BIG stuff. She actually did very well with it and I think I'll give her one again....in the kitchen or outside that is!
Happy Anniversary! Happy New Year!
Yesterday was Brian and I's 3rd Anniversary. I honestly don't know where the time has gone! We started out the morning meeting my dad for breakfast at Carousel. Then, we took the kids to Sturgis so they could spend the night with Grammie and Pops. After dropping them off, Brian and I headed back to Evansville so that we could go to lunch at Red Lobster. We had our very first date there and we've gone there on every one of our anniversaries. Since Brian didn't have to work, we thought we would go earlier to beat the crowd. It was still very busy and I'm sure they stayed that way all day! Brian and I were so full from eating, but we had to go grocery shopping. We never take the kids on our big grocery trips if we can avoid it. It was nice to get that done even though Walmart was crazy too!
After grocery shopping, we came home, unpacked the food, and got ready for the party at Allie's. I talked Allie into having a New Year's party with us. We invited a lot of people (over 50) and many people acted like they were going to come, but it ended up being only 10 of us. We still had a GREAT time! We ate yummy food, drank a bit, played lots of games, and laughed and laughed! We actually played six different games throughout the night (Last Word, Dirty Minds, Things, Cuponk, Just Dance, and bowling on the wii), but the best ones were Cuponk and Just Dance. Both were hilarious and VERY entertaining! By the time midnight came, we were all getting tired and just said Happy New Year without much hoopla. Brian and I ended up going to bed around 2:00 am...way past my bed time! I was so tired this morning but very ready to go pick up the kids. They were equally excited to see us. When we got there, the kids had more gifts to bring home. Brian's Mamaw, Papaw, and two of his aunts brought gifts for our family. It is January and we are still doing Christmas!
