We finally found out the rhino's name. Every time we go to the zoo, Macie wonders why Donna has a name, but the rhino doesn't. We found a zoo keeper to ask. The name is Maychee (I'm not sure how to spell it). It sounds a lot like Macie ironically! Overall, it was a great visit. After the zoo, we went to lunch at Hacienda (where Gavin discovered he LOVES salsa) and then headed home for a much needed nap. All four of us were able to get one!

Zoo Fun
Monday, we went to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa. Aunt Allie joined us later. We hadn't been to our zoo in two months due to the heat (and the fact that I didn't want to push a double stroller by myself) but on Monday, the weather was perfect! In fact, it was a little chilly. We got there right as the zoo opened. I'm glad that we did, because when we left, there was a huge line to get in. We took our time wandering around the zoo and stayed for 2 1/2 hours. The kids had a great time. Macie walked pretty much the whole zoo and Gavin walked half of it for the first time. It amazes me how much more he can do in just 2 months. He is growing up so quickly...sigh!

Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa
Today was a simple, but good day. Brian let me sleep in until which was nice. We spent the rest of the morning/early afternoon hanging out at home. After the kids woke up from a nap, we went over to my parents' house to hang out and eat dinner. Macie was a little wild, but overall we had a good visit. We left right after dinner and the kids were asleep by 6. Notice the trend? The kids are wearing themselves out lately!

A Christmas Present in September?!?
After the kids attempted to finish their naps (and I took a nap), we stopped by my parents' house for a quick visit. We wanted to tell my dad that he was getting an early Christmas present. Allie and I went in on tickets to see Bob Knight. My dad has idolized "The General" for as long as I can remember. He is coming to town in two weeks, so we thought it would be awesome to send him. We gave dad two tickets and told him he could take anyone he wanted. The only stipulation was that he couldn't take Brian. Brian has never been a Bobby fan and it just wouldn't be right! I'm excited for my dad and I can't wait to hear how it is!
Grammie, Pops, and Uncle John
This morning, we headed to Sturgis for a visit. Macie was SUPER pumped all week about this visit. Not only was she going to see Grammie and Pops, but she was also going to see Uncle John. Now that he is back in school, we don't see him very often. The kids had a great visit and were pretty good. Brian and I even shopped at a yard sale across the street. Grammie had already gone earlier in the morning. We came home with a trash bag full of clothes! We stayed through lunch and then headed home so the kids could nap. They both fell asleep in the car fairly quickly, but neither one took a good nap. It made for a long afternoon and an early bedtime!
Macie couldn't wait for Grammie to braid her hair
