Happy Birthday Hannah!

Yesterday, we went to Hannah's 4th birthday party!  Her actual birthday is December 22nd, but she is going to be a big sister any day now, so her mommy had her party early.  The party was at Newburgh Child Development Kid's Play.  I guess it is a daycare that rents out this room.  It was awesome and the kids had a BLAST!  There is a lot of play equipment and plenty for them to do.  I was impressed and surprised that Macie and Gavin could do everything without help.  They were even able to climb up in the tunnels!  I loved it because everything was in one big room.  Besides playing, we ate a yummy lunch, had cupcakes, and watched Hannah open her presents.  We got her Chuck-E-Cheese tokens and she was really excited about them.  Brian and I were so impressed with the place that we are considering having Gavin's birthday party there!

Macie was so excited because there were "swings inside"!

Lilah had plenty of fun, too!

Jumping Bean

Tonight, Gavin jumped...like cleared the ground...5 times in a row!  We were cheering, screaming, and crying.  He said, "I knew I could jump!" and had the proudest look on his face.  Then, he came up to me and gave me the biggest, tightest hug.  That seriously may have been my proudest moment as a parent so far.  I've watched him struggle for many months and the look on his face was something I'll never forget.
On the way to bed, he was saying, "Jump, jump, jump!"  We told him it was time to go to bed and he said, "I want to jump some more!"  We promised him he could jump all day tomorrow!!!

Dream Come True

Growing up, my dad always rooted for two teams: Notre Dame Football and IU basketball.  He's a big sports fan, but those two have always been his teams.  This year, both teams are currently ranked #1!  Notre Dame will be playing for the national championship next month and IU is doing awesome!  This is a dream come true for him.  Now, let's just hope they can keep it together and win the championships!!

Drawing and Writing

At the beginning of last summer, Macie couldn't really make any letters and was just scribbling when drawing.  I worked with her some this summer and by August she could write her name.  Since being in preschool, her drawings and letter formation has improved greatly.  I am super impressed with her!  The crazy thing is, she knows how to spell so many of our family members' names that now she can write them on her own!  She is growing up way to quickly and I am super proud!
She drew a "pig" for the new neighbors!
