Drive In

Last night, we took the kids to the drive in to see Monster U!  We originally planned to take them on Wednesday night, but they were going to switch the movies and not play Monster U until almost 11pm!  I was already worried about taking them to a movie that started at 8:30, there was no way I was going to take them to one at 11!  So, Brian and I made a decision to take them last night.  It looked like rain, but we decided to risk it anyway.  Brian worked late, so I got everything ready and packed the van.  Thankfully, the kids also took a long, late nap.

The kids were so excited and thought it was especially cool that they wore their pjs.  Macie even thought it would be a good idea to watch Monster’s Inc on the way there!  Their questions about the drive in were so cute.  They kept asking if we were going to be inside or outside and if the screen was as big as our tv.  Oh, how their little minds work!

We brought the kettle corn Macie and I bought the other day, some lemonade, and picked up some boxes of candy at Wal-mart.  The weather held off and everything went perfectly!  Before the movie, the kids were able to run around.  Right as the movie started, we put Lilah in her car seat and she fussed a bit, but fell asleep.  Macie and Gavin stayed awake for most of the movie, but did fall asleep on me at the end.  We didn’t stay for the second movie because Brian and I were tired.  We couldn’t have asked for a better first time at the drive in and look forward to our next trip!

One PROUD Mama!

Yesterday, I had all three kiddos.  Sometimes, that can mean a complete and total disaster.  Thankfully, that was not the case yesterday!  I took them all to a dance party at the library.  I was a little nervous, because I’ve never taken all of them at the same time.  They did great!  They were so well behaved, respectful, and patient.  I was so proud of them!

Later that afternoon, I took them all to the dentist.  Macie and Gavin had appointments.  They both went back by themselves and were so well behaved.  They also both got A’s on their report cards and the dentist gave me a good report.  I couldn’t believe they were both willing to go back alone and were so brave.  It made me a little sad and super proud at the same time!  Yes, I am one proud mama!!

One More Pic

I forgot to add this adorable pic from the “camping” post.  I didn’t take many pictures at the pool, but I couldn’t resist taking one of LJ sucking down her blue slushie!
