Thursday, July 25th was Macie’s last one on one day of the summer. We worked in my classroom, went to her library program, ate a picnic lunch at Kid’s Kingdom, played on the playground, and walked to the river. It was a good, but busy day! I’ve really enjoyed my one on one days again this summer. Unfortunately, this will be the last summer for them. I don’t plan to pay for daycare next summer if I don’t need to.

That night, we went to the fair. It was a last minute decision, but the weather was perfect! I fed the kids a quick dinner at home and as soon as Brian got home, we left. The kids had a great time and were really well behaved. They got free smoothies, balloons, and petted all of the animals. Macie even pet everything (goat, cow, chicken, pig, horse, rabbit, chickens), which is a huge deal for her! Lilah was wild and would have climbed into the cages if we’d let her! On the way out, we bought some kettle corn…a must have from the fair! We told the kids we weren’t doing rides, but there was a barrel train for free, so we let them ride that. We gave a donation to help cover the gas. Lilah rode a short way and then Gavin and Macie had a long ride. They went a little bit away from us and Macie couldn’t believe they went that far. What a great family night at the fair!
Tuesday, July 23rd was supposed to be Gavin’s last one on one day. He ended up getting an extra one due to an appointment, but more about that later. We had a busy day! We worked in my classroom, went to a library program, had a lady come for the first session of a play study, and he had therapy. Even though he had a different therapist and a new person for the play study, he did great and charmed the ladies!
Gavin can be the sweetest, kindest, child, but lately he has been a big challenge! I guess it’s terrible 3’s, but he’s driving us crazy! He’s not listening well and throwing fits. Please let this be a short phase!
I walked into the living room the other day and heard Gavin saying, “One, Two, Three, Four…” He was counting Macie’s crunches! It was so cute!!
