Playroom: Before and After

Our playroom had gotten out of control.  You literally couldn’t see the floor and I couldn’t stand it anymore.  The kids helped me reorganize and clean it out.  We got rid of three large trash bags to take to Goodwill.  We even left a little bit of room for new toys that the kids will get with all of the upcoming holidays and birthdays!  Because my parents gave me their credenza, we were able to put all of the games, puzzles, and art supplies in there.  That helped us a lot!

Painting and Primping

Macie couldn’t wait to paint her nails with her new piggy paints.  She painted them on her own…before I was really ready for her to!  However, she actually did a pretty good job!  She also got Lilah’s hair ready before we went out.  A glimpse into our future…

First Crushes

Most nights, we take turns asking each other what our favorite thing we did that day was.  Lilah usually just grins, but doesn’t have much to say.  Well, a week or so ago, she couldn’t wait for her turn!  Her only response is, “Cannon”!  If you ask her who she played with or what she did at Miss Julie’s, her only answer is always “Cannon”!  She talks about him and plays with him all day long and just looks at him and grins.  He is about a  year younger, but just about the same size!

Gavin also has his first crush.  He really likes a little girl in my class named Emma.  I didn’t notice just how much he liked her.  He was holding her hand at the end of everyday, but I didn’t think much of it.  The night of the bonfire, he kept saying, I’m going to spend all of my time with Emma.  Then, he followed her around like a lost puppy and snuggled with her on the hayride.  Emma is a triplet, so Brian asked Gavin, “How do you know which one is Alli and which one is Emma?”  He said, “Daddy, she is the pretty one with dark green shoes!”  How sweet!!
