As you know by now, Macie is FULL of personality! Things should no longer shock me, but sometimes I just don't know what to say! Here are two of her latest antics:
We were driving home from daycare on Thursday and Macie asked me to turn her Dora "moonie" on. I told her that I couldn't because I was driving and she said, "I said so". I about lost it!
Earlier today, Macie told me to "lead me lone". I told her that wasn't very nice. If she didn't like something, she could say "Please stop", but not "Leave me alone". Tonight Brian and I were talking in the living room and Macie says, "Mommy, Peez stop talking, I tan't hear tv". The funniest part, Brian had a random football game on!

New Year's Resolutions New and Old
Last year, I made three New Year's Resolutions:
- Become more financially savvy
- Spend as much QUALITY time as possible with my family while still making time for my hobbies
- Don't get pregnant
- I want to make it a priority to go to church as a family on a more regular basis. Church has been a difficult task for us with two smaill children, but it is a must!
- I want to make time for people who make time for us. Brian and I have exhausted a lot of time and emotional energy in the past "chasing" after people. This year, I want to focus in on the people who mean the most to us.
- I want to tighten up our budget even more and do more couponing. Brian and I are talking about "playing the drugstore game". I want to pay off all consumer debt by the end of the year and come up with a way to make some extra money this summer.
- I want to organize our house from top to bottom. Even though we have a small house, I know that we could utilize our space better.
- I want to catch up on all of my scrapbooking and stay on top of it this year. I also want to continue to keep up with the blog.
- I want to read 11 books this year just because.
- I want to stay on top of everything at school. It seems like the first semester I was always playing catch up and I want second semester to be better!
- I want to get healthier...I haven't quite decided how I'm going to do that yet, but I need to.
- I want to be a better wife...more patient and understanding. I want Brian and I's relationship to continue to grow and become stronger every day.
- I want to be the best Mommy to Macie and Gavin I can be. I want to spend as much time with them as possible and BE IN THE MOMENT...not always worrying about everything else I need to do. They go to bed early enough...dishes can wait!
I think that's enough to work on...here's to a wonderful 2011!!!

Physical Therapy Progress
Gavin has made SO much progress in the short time he's been in physical therapy! It had been almost 2 weeks since his last session and Melissa was very impressed with everything he was doing. He is very close to going from a laying to sitting position. He can also now (with very little assistance) pull up on something to his knees. He has also started using both of his legs in his "crawl" so he is much, much faster! Besides his gross motor progress, he has become very verbal. He is squealing all of the time and starting to repeat sounds that we make. It is so exciting to see his progress and it makes Brian and I feel so much better. We cherish each and every little step that will get him to our big goal....walking!
Because Gavin had deficits in so many different areas, we are going to keep a close eye on them and possibly start with another therapist. I just don't want anything to slip by us and regret it later. I guess only time will tell!

Potty Training Break Thru and More
Last night we had a potty training break thru...Macie went all night being dry! She woke up twice saying she needed to go potty and Brian took her (thanks daddy). I can't believe that she did that! We aren't throwing away the pull-ups just yet, but we are on our way!
Macie is always saying, or doing, something that cracks us up...here are a few of her latest antics:
Macie is always saying, or doing, something that cracks us up...here are a few of her latest antics:
- Daddy's Princess - Macie is quite the Daddy's girl lately. She always says that she is "Mommy's Girl" and "Daddy's Princess". The other day when we picked her up from Sturgis, I told her I missed her and asked if she missed me too. She said, "Uh huh...I missed Daddy too" Then I said, "Macie, guess who loves you? Mommy does." She said, "My daddy loves me too" Finally, this morning, Brian was trying to get a shower and asked Macie to cuddle with me. She said, "No, I cuddle with Daddy". She loves that guy!
- Tonight, Macie was on the potty and she randomly held a fake hamburger bun to her ear and said, "Hey Dadin, Guess what, My mommy's cracking me up" I lost it!
- She is constantly calling Gavin "my brother". I personally don't like bubby so we've been saying your brother this, your brother that. Now, she says it ALL of the time. It is so sweet!
