Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Yesterday, was my dad's birthday! Last night, we went over to my parent's house for Wolf's bbq and cake. Macie was most excited about the cake of course! Macie and I made Grandpa a card and we told him we would buy him some beer in Florida. We are going to go out to eat to celebrate his birthday in Florida because Annie will be able to be there too. We didn't stay too late last night because the kids were getting tired, but we had a nice visit. Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Meeting Parker Wilson

While Gavin was in the hospital, we missed a very important event....the birth of our first nephew! Brian's sister, Beth, gave birth to Parker Wilson Shepherd on Thursday, March 3rd. He is a happy, healthy baby boy! We were very sad to miss this big event, but we had to take care of our sick baby instead. Today, we finally got a chance to meet him. Besides battling jaundice, he is doing great! He is so sweet and it is hard to believe that we ever had a baby that small! Gavin could pretty much care less, but I was surprised that Macie wouldn't really go over to him much. She'd been talking about "Baby Pawtah" for a long time now and I think that it didn't seem real. We didn't stay very long because the kids were tired and it was time for Parker to eat. I'm so excited to finally be an aunt! I get to spoil him rotten and send him home! Welcome to the world Parker! Aunt Abbie and Uncle Brian love you very much! Congrats Beth and Wil! Parenthood is the greatest adventure you will ever be a part of!

Leland's Birthday Lunch

Today was our godson, Leland's, 7th birthday. I can't believe he is 7 already! He had a very busy and fun day planned, but we were lucky enough to take him out to lunch. We took him to Crazy Buffet because I know that he loves Chinese food. We had a yummy lunch and he even had ice cream for dessert! After we ate, we gave him a present. He got a Lego Sticker book, Lego poster, Clifford book, and a book about snakes. He was so excited and all smiles! Happy Birthday Leland! We love you and hope year 7 is a great one!

New Therapist

Gavin started developmental therapy yesterday. He was supposed to start last week, but he was still in the hospital so we waited until this week. Tammy was great! She was surprised at how well he went straight to her. She was also impressed with all of this motor progress. Gavin can clearly say "Mama" and tried to repeat other things she was saying. He was given homework for the week just like physical therapy. He now has therapy on Mondays and Fridays. Hopefully, he will continue to make progress and be walking and talking in no time!
