Monsters and Martin Luther King

Last night, Gavin asked Brian to "close door". Brian said, we will close the door buddy. He likes to have his door closed when he is sleeping. He said, "No, that door", pointing to the closet, "Monsters". He's been watching Monster's Inc. I guess he now thinks he has monsters in his closet!

Yesterday afternoon when Leland was over, we played the wii. Brian and Leland were playing doubles tennis. They were on the same team and when Leland saw the guys they were playing against he said, "Oh no, not that Martin Luther King guy! He's hard!" The "Martin Luther King guy" he was talking about was a black mii. Brian and I were laughing as hard as we could without letting Leland know we were laughing. Later on, when the "guy" started playing, Leland said, "See, I told you that Martin Luther King guy was good!" It was completely innocent and way too funny!

Gavin's 2 Year Photo Shoot

Happy Birthday Leland (one week early)!

Our Godson, Leland, has a birthday next week. We wanted to spend some time with him. His mom has been in the hospital for a week because of surgery, so it was a nice break for him. He came over for three hours. He played the wii with Brian, played with Macie and Gavin, and ate a yummy snack of sugar cookies and kool aid. What more could a kid ask for? For his birthday, I sent home some extra cookies and we gave him $8 for his 8th birthday!

Happy Birthday Parker!!

Our sweet nephew, Parker, turned 1 yesterday! We were all able to celebrate with him at his party. His parents had a nice party for him. We had yummy food, good company, and lots of fun presents. The kids had a blast and were pretty well behaved overall. We got Parker some pjs and a bear tent. This is the first time we've been an aunt and uncle, so it was nice to get something fun and big that will go in someone else's house! We were a little bummed that Parker's other aunt got him a tent, too. Oh well!
Parker is the sweetest little guy. I don't think that I've ever even seen him cry! We love you Parker and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you!
*We took lots of pictures, but our camera s****! I'm so over it I can't even tell you. We get lots of blurry pictures and they are all out of order.Parker was skeptical about the tent at first, but Macie and Gavin broke it in for him!Parker's mommy made this adorable cake for himThe kids got gifts too! Macie and Gavin got cups, bubbles, crayons, notebooks, and paddle ball games. Lilah got a stuffed frog and hair clips.Gavin is so sweet! He shared his crayons with ParkerI love these pictures because even though I couldn't get all four kids looking our way and smiling, none of them were crying! I also love that Parker kept laying his head on Macie. He was worn out!How sweet is Parker?!?Hanging out with the Birthday Boy!This picture is blurry, but Aunt Beth is holding up the cards Macie and Gavin made for Parker
