How can I escape??
Gavin is pulling up to his knees on anything and everything! This is a very exciting development and just one more step towards walking. We have to put the gate up so he doesn't get into the kitchen because he seems to find all kinds of trouble. I found him pulled up with his face pressed against the gate trying to figure out how to get into the kitchen. He is such a cute little guy and so different from Macie. I love watching him discover his surroundings because he has a different approach to things. I love that little guy!

Snow!
Because Gavin can't stand up yet, he's not quite ready to play in the snow. Last year we brought a bowl of snow in for Macie to play in and it was a hit. Gavin was just a few weeks old and sitting in the bouncer. We decided to do that again this year for the kids. It is so fun to watch them discover snow...the texture, the taste, the temp! They both had a blast and Gavin's snow went right into his mouth. Macie saw Gavin eating it and asked if she could eat hers. What a difference a year makes!

Stock Pile and Playing the Drug Store Game
I had another snow day today so I took advantage of it and cleaned out all of the cabinets in our bathrooms and the cabinet under the sink. We've been getting a lot of deals lately and I was tired of the clutter! Our medicine cabinet also had a lot of stuff that was expired so I wanted to make sure I got rid of everything that was bad. It feels so good to have all of that done and Brian was shocked when he saw how neat and organized everything was. Now, we just have to keep it that way!
One of our New Year's Resolution was to possibly try the "drug store game". Basically, by using coupons, the store ad, and register rewards, you get a lot of items free and very cheap. Brian took a stab at it on the way home tonight at Rite Aid, and I have to say it was a success!! He spent 50 cents for everything pictured plus a pack of ink pens! I think we will stick with this for sure!
Sibling Fun
Macie and Gavin are so cute when they are playing together! The other night, Gavin was laying behind the couch kicking his feet. Macie wanted to join him and when we first looked back there she was laying with her head on his belly. Of course by the time we took the picture, she was just laying next to him, but it was still sweet!

Sunday night, we hadn't gotten Gavin out of his high chair yet after dinner so Macie decided to feed him her "baby food". He is such a good sport!
