30

As of this morning, I've lost THIRTY pounds!  Holy Cow!  Plugging right along...

I could write a book..

...with all of the funny things that my students and own children!  Here are a few of the latest funny moments:

At school, I have a student who is always digging in my trash looking for scraps of paper.  I said, "C, you can't be digging in my trash."  Without hesitation, another student said, "He's an extreme cheapskate".  Miss Igel and I burst out laughing.  If you've watched the TLC show, Extreme Cheapskate, you will understand!

Gavin was watching Mickey Mouse tonight.  Mickey asked him if he would help him solve a problem.  As serious as can be, Gavin said, "No, I can't, I'm not on the show!"  How many 2 year olds really get that?!?

Tonight, Macie saw a show about cheerleaders on tv.  She said, "Mommy, remember I want to be a cheerleading girl when I get big?"  I said, "Yes Macie, you can do that if you work hard."  Gavin chimes in from the other room and says, "I want to be a frog!"  Sorry to break your heart sweetie, but I don't think that's possible!!!!!

Applesauce

The other night, we were playing with some toys in Gavin's room.  I found a small plastic turkey.  This is the conversation that followed:
Me: What is this?
Macie: A turkey!
Me: It's popular this time of year.  We eat it on Thanksgiving.
Macie: We eat that animal? (completely shocked)
Me: Yes Macie, we eat turkey all of the time.
Macie: I don't want to eat turkey animal, I'll just eat applesauce at Thanksgiving.

CRACK. ME. UP.

First Hair Cut At Home

Gavin was in DESPERATE need of a haircut!  He needs them so often because of his wild, curly hair.  Brian has offered to cut his hair several times, but I've been too scared.  I finally gave in.  It couldn't be that bad!  After all, if it was horrible, we could take him to a professional!  It turned out great!  Gavin was a little restless, but bribing him with a sucker did the trick.  The best part of the deal is that we saved money and will be able to do it again in the future!
