Pap Update

Well, it took Macie an hour and forty minutes to fall asleep last night. It was heartbreaking, but she finally gave in. She was up and in bed with us a little before six this morning. Normally, she wakes up at this time because Gavin wakes up to eat, but we are able to talk her into going back to sleep. Not this morning!! We felt bad for her to tell you the truth and didn't mind the extra cuddling. Today was better. Each nap she only cried for less than 20 minutes and then was out. She's cried longer than that with the pap! Tonight she only cried for 7 or 8 minutes and she was out!! YAY!!!!! I'm hoping that the roughest part is over. She still asks for her pap every time and then looks at me with that sweet grin and says "noooo". Like she knows she can't have it, but she is going to try anyway! Gavin still has a pap so I was worried about that, but she only stole it a few times. That happened everyday before, so nothing new. I told my mom that I feel like she is already talking so much more. The girl is chattering non stop! It's official....my little girl is growing up!

In other news.... Brian went to get batteries for Gavin's swing tonight and the Focus wouldn't start. He and the neighbor guy checked it out and we are pretty sure (praying) that it is just the battery. I bought the car 7 years ago yesterday and it is the original battery! Brian is on his way to buy a new one now so we shall see if that solves the problem!

Today, Gavin was in the excersaucer for a while. When I got him out, Macie kept saying, "May in". She wanted in too. I thought...why not! She looked so funny in it and soooo big!

So Close!!!

Gavin is so close to rolling over from his back to his belly! Now, if he could only figure out how to get that arm out of the way!!!

Pap Fairy

The Pap Fairy visited Macie today! Macie is very obsessed with her pap and we knew that she needed to get rid of it before she turned 2. I wanted to take it away while I was home for the summer. After dinner, Macie put all of her paps in a bowl on the table and we left a note for the Pap Fairy. Then, we all watched Veggietales as part of movie night. When the movie was over, Macie went to the kitchen to see what the Pap Fairy left for her. She had 3 sheets of Elmo and Sesame Street stickers!! We told her that the Pap Fairy took all of her paps and she seemed fine with it at the time. Daddy helped her put the stickers in an album I had so that she could look at them. We played for a bit and then put Macie to bed. She kept asking for her pap. So far, not so good......she has been upset for over an hour now. Brian and I have tried comforting her, music, and her burp cloth. Nothing is seeming to work. Hopefully, she will eventually go to sleep. It's going to be a long night ahead....wish us luck!!!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July! We started off the day by heading to Mass. Both kids wanted me the whole time, so it was a little difficult, but we made it. After Mass, we went home and laid Macie down for a nap. When she woke up, we ate lunch and headed to my parent's house. We dropped the kids off so that Brian and I could grocery shop. It is always nice to shop without them. After shopping, Brian and I went back to my parent's house to hang out and eat dinner. Macie had a blast playing in the water with the hose. We were home a little after 7 and gave both kids a bath. Once they were in bed, we watched tv. It was a nice low key day and a great way to end our holiday weekend!
Cheese!!

Macie was pushing Gavin in the swing. He loved it!
