Happy Birthday, Gavin!!

Yesterday was Gavin’s 4th birthday!  We had a busy, crazy, fun day planned!  The night before, I got everything ready.  Gavin got to pick what he wanted for each meal.

Here’s what all we did on his special day:

Home to play with some of new toys

Dinner and Movie: pizza, pineapple, chex mix, cookies and Alvin and the Chipmunks

Dear Gavin

Dear Gavin,

My sweet boy….how are you 4?  We’ve been through a lot in those 4 years and you will always be my favorite little boy ever!  You are my thoughtful child and are the first one to help someone or share with your sisters.  Your dimples, curly hair, big grin, and twinkling brown eyes melt the hearts of everyone you meet.  Right now you are into Busytown, Emma (a First Grader at school), boy stuff, dinosaurs, and construction stuff.  You also like super heroes and are getting smarter by the day!  You are working on more and more projects and told us that you were going to learn to read by watching Macie.  You are so brave when we visit your many doctors and I’m so proud of you for that.  You also have a stubbon streak and can squeal and screech with the best of them!  You have the best giggle in the world!  We don’t know what the next year will bring, but I am thrilled to be right by your side and will always be your biggest fan!

Never forget, you are kind, handsome, smart, and important.  I love you to the moon and back!

Love,

Mama

  • We are a family unit that sticks together.
  • We use manners when eating.
  • Show respect to all adults.

Date Night: Abbie Plan

Sleep Study Update ~ X-ray

Macie has a sleep study scheduled for Thursday, February 6th.  It is from 7:30pm to 7:30 am.  She will be able to bring a blanket, baby, movie, and other comforting items.  There will be a bed for her and a futon for me.  We are told that it is set up like a hotel room and we will be able to shower there in the morning.  We let Macie pick, and she chose me to stay with her.  She will be hooked up to all sorts of things and they will be watching us from another room.  Kind of creepy!  I’m pretty sure she will need lab work at the end which is something I’m not looking forward to.

Before the sleep study, Macie had to go and get an x-ray of her neck.  Her last x-ray of her arm was a complete and total nightmare.  Thankfully, this time was totally different.  She was chatty so I knew she was nervous, but did great!  I was proud of her!  We also have to keep a sleep diary each night.  Fingers crossed all goes well and they figure out why she isn’t sleep well!
