A Look Back ~ December 2017 Part 1

Lilah was in her first Christmas Program at St. Joe!  She was so excited!  Besides her immediate family, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Allie, and Aunt Julie came to watch!
Fantasy of Lights and Santa's Workshop: Every year, we head to Garvin park to drive through the Fantasy of Lights and then go to the 4H for their lights and Santa's workshop.  It is a fun tradition we all look forward to!

Higgin's Cookie Party: The girls and I went to Holly's cookie party this year.  The boys were supposed to go to the hockey game, but there wasn't one and Gavin had a migraine. We had a fun time and there were more than enough cookies to decorate and snack on!

 Zoo Trip:
St. Nick's Day: We celebrate St. Nicks every year and the kids really look forward to it.  He always brings new pjs for Christmas Eve, an ornament, and some candy.  He also leaves a few other surprises!

Even Emilee got some treats!

Paige and Hannah's Birthday Party: The girls and I went to Paige and Hannah's Birthday party.  Gavin wasn't feeling the best (which was a trend a lot of December), so he stayed with Grandma for a few hours.  They had so much fun playing the games and visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Lilah's School Christmas Party: I was a room mom for Lilah's class this year and got to help with the Christmas party.  It was different to be on the other side of things!

Happy Birthday, Emilee!

Our puppy, Emilee, turned 1 on December 22nd.  Lilah had a whole party planned for her including a guest list.  However, I squashed that and we had a fun day at home instead.  Lilah made her a card, we made her homemade treats, we put on a birthday hat, bought her a gift, and watched buddy movies.  It's official...she's spoiled rotten!

Happy Birthday, Lilah!

How in the heck is my baby 6 years old?? I can't even wrap my head around that!  We had a family party for Lilah a few days before her birthday.  She chose a Shopkins theme and wanted cheesecake.  The girl knows what she wants!  She was blessed at her party.  Unfortunately, on her actual birthday she was really sick.  We had to postpone all of the fun we had planned and move it to the next day.  Even though she was feeling better, she didn't eat a ton on her special day.  We went to the bank to cash in her pennies, to the mall for Build-A-Bear, shopping and a pretzel, and to Kipplees for dinner.  As her birthday present, we gave her a pack of Shopkins mechanical pencils and then told her that I am taking her to Shopkins Live on January 12.  Overall, I think our little spitfire had a wonderful birthday!!
