Happy Halloween!!

Macie and I had quite a day! First, we went to visit the teachers during DI training for lunch. Then we went with Aunt Annie to vote. After waiting in line for 3 HOURS, we finally were able to vote and head home. Then, Annie and I decided to have a photo shoot with all of Macie's Halloween outfits.
Aunt Annie bought Macie this adorable bib and bag for all of her Halloween goodies. We were amazed with how she laid perfectly still for this picture.
My little jailbird
Our little pumpkin
I glow in the dark in this outfit! Are we done yet?
Fading fast...
How freaking adorable!!

Is USI in Macie's future?

Macie got a present in the mail yesterday! Because Brian is a USI alumni, Macie got a t-shirt from them welcoming her into the world. Who knows, maybe she will follow in her daddy's footsteps and attend USI someday!

A Future Cougar

Yesterday was a very busy day for Miss Macie. First, I had a quick doctor appointment to check my incision. I got great news in that my incision is healing well and I have lost 20 pounds since having Macie. I was pumped! Then, we headed to Holy Spirit. It was Macie's first visit and the kids were so excited to finally get to see her. But when I walked in my classroom, they were silent. They didn't know what to do or say. That was funny, but I have to say the funniest moment of the day was when a second grader asked me, "Did she come out of the place we don't want to talk about or did she come out of a cut in your belly?" I just about lost it....
This is the best picture of Macie and I to date...too bad she isn't awake!
After they warmed up, my students wanted to touch her and kiss her. They wanted her to stay for the rest of the day.

Oh so curious...

Rusty and Max can't help but be extremely curious about Macie. They constantly want to sniff her and have tried to lick her when she is crying. They have been great with her and she doesn't even seem phased by them or their barking. I am sure that they will have lots of fun times in the future!
