BPP #5

Today I went to the doctor for my 5th BPP. I was excited to see how much Lilah had grown in the last two weeks. To my SHOCK, her estimated weight is 6 pounds 8 ounces. That means she's gained almost a pound and a half in two weeks!! She is now in the 69th percentile. I asked the tech if she thought that was a problem and she admitted she was also a little shocked about the gain. She also reassured me that sometimes there is a big gain one time and the next time it levels out. Unfortunately, her stomach is what is measuring so big.

The rest of the BPP went well except for the fact that she wouldn't show her face again. Last night I was feeling a body part in my stomach, but I didn't know what it was. I found out today it was an arm or an elbow.

After the BPP, I thought I had an hour wait until my appointment, but they ended up calling me back early. Dr. Crutcher was out of the office today, so I saw Dr. Slovachek. I actually saw him a lot when I was pregnant with Macie because Dr. C was on maternity leave. "Slov", as they call him, said that everything looked great. My blood pressure is slowly rising, but not dangerous yet. He went ahead and measured my belly and said that it is also a week or so ahead, so who knows. Even though I have a BPP every week, I only see Dr. Crutcher every other week right now. He suggested that I go ahead and see her next week to see what she thinks about everything. The original plan was to wait two weeks to measure growth, but that might change now that she is so big.

While I am anxious to meet her, I also have a big to do list to get through and I want her to be as healthy as possible. I guess only time will tell!

Happy Birthday Hollis!

Tonight, we went to Hollis' first birthday party. Macie was super excited all day to go to his party. She wanted to play with Clayton and eat cake. I have to say, the kids were so well behaved. Even when Hollis was opening his presents, they sat back. It was so cute to watch Gavin because he kept creeping up closer and closer. For him not being 2, he impresses me! I think Hollis had a great party. He got lots of presents and loved his cake. Happy Birthday Hollis!!

Clayton and Hollis have an awesome playroom!

We ate soup and the kids had cool pbj sandwiches. Yummy!

Allie was asked to take pictures at the party. She had "groupies" while the presents were being opened. They adore her! Dig in Hollis!

The cake was delicious!

Lilah's 4th BPP

At school, I had a health screening done. We have to have one every year to get free health insurance. They check our height, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol. Even though I didn't fast, my blood sugar and cholesterol were good. That is really good news for me, because when you are pregnant, these levels can be elevated. I also have a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol in my family and I want to avoid this if at all possible. The not so good news was my BMI (to be expected when pregnant, but I know this is something I have to work on) and my blood pressure. Even though I am still taking medicine, it was 145/80. Dr. Crutcher had told me that any time the top # was over 140 or the bottom # was over 90, to let her know.
I already had a BPP scheduled this afternoon, so when I got to the office, I let them know that my blood pressure was up earlier. I've also been having headaches and my face has been flushed every afternoon. I told them I've had a lot of stress lately, so that may have something to do with it. They did the BPP first and everything looked good. It took a while for Lilah to move enough and practice her breathing. She finally passed. I was also able to get a good look at her face today! I got several pictures. It's amazing how every time I see her, I see that same nose and forehead as my other two!
After the BPP, Dr. Crutcher's nurse took my blood pressure. It was down to 136/76, but that is still pushing it. They sent me on my way, but told me to keep checking it and if anything changes, to let them know.
Next, I headed to get the kids and I started feeling horribly. I broke out in a major sweat, felt faint, and was super hot. I pulled over and took off my jacket, opened the window, and chugged some water. I felt slightly better. When I got to Miss Julie's, I asked her if I looked pale, and she said a bit. On the way home, I started feeling bad again. I quickly pulled into McDonald's and got some food. I inhaled it and chugged more water. I was concerned about driving, but the food must of helped, because I felt better soon after.
I don't know what is going on, but I am NOT ready to meet Miss Lilah yet. Hopefully, it was just a bad day and all will go back to normal soon!

Straight from the Macie's Mouth

As we are driving down the Lloyd Expressway, Macie points at the new Harrison football field and says, "Is that a kingdom?" I guess the flags made her think that. Brian and I were cracking up!

At dinner the other night, Macie turned to Allie and said, "We are best buddies...right?" Too sweet!
