Macie's First Birthday Bash!!!

Yesterday afternoon, we had Macie's First Birthday Bash! It was a Minnie Mouse themed party and everything turned out great! We had about 50 people come and she got more presents than she will ever need! I think she now has a new wardrobe and plenty of fun toys to play with. Macie was the perfect little girl. It helped that I had her take a nap at my parent's house while we were setting up the party. She was in a great mood the whole day and only cried when we took away her cake. She LOVED the cake and would have eaten the whole thing if we let her. Allie took pictures for me and I think she took almost 300! I am so grateful to her for doing that because I was way too busy! We all took a much needed nap when we got home! What a great day!!
Macie's Cake....I just love how it turned out!

Giving Aunt Beth a kiss

Macie loved this balloon, but I am so sad because it disappeared. It was in the back of my Escape when we got home and it never made it into the house. I have no idea what happened to it, but I was not happy:(

Fall Festival

Wednesday night, Brian, Macie, and I headed down to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Macie went with my mom on Monday for a few minutes, but this was the first time we had really taken her down there in all of the madness. Our plan was to go quickly, eat, and then head out before it got too crowded or cold for Macie. She was completely in awe of all the people and everything going on around her. After a little while, she started smacking her lips because she saw everyone eating. She just started doing that a week or two ago....smacking her lips if she sees someone eating something. Too funny!
Before we went, we were waiting at my parent's house for Brian to get off work and Macie put on my sunglasses. She just stopped and smiled for me like she was waiting for me to take her picture. Of course, I couldn't get the camera out fast enough and it is so slow, so we had to try again. This was the best I could get...
Macie ate her cheerios while we ate all of the good stuff!
Maybe next year she can join us!

St. Louis

Saturday morning, Brian, Macie, and I headed to St. Louis. We like to go there about once a year and this summer just got away from us. We had a busy day planned: leave at 5:30, stop for breakfast at Ryan's, get to the zoo early so we could see the stingray exhibit for free, visit the arch, and end the day eating at Old Spaghetti Factory. Yes we had a busy day planned, but one we were looking forward to. Unfortunately, I started not feeling well as the day went on, but we still had a good day. Macie's favorite animals to watch were the penguins. She was in aww! We were home a little after 6 and I crashed out before 7!
It was a cool day, so we had Macie all bundled up, but she didn't seem to mind. She and Brian are waiting for the stingray exhibit.
Brian and I both touched the stingrays, which is a pretty cool experience. We thought Macie was a bit too young, so she touched the puppet instead.
The gorillas came up to say hello!
Half way through the zoo, Macie crashed out for a nap. I have a admit I was little jealous I couldn't join her!
These two were very entertaining for Brian and I. Macie was sleeping through this part, but they were running around and chasing each other. It was pretty funny!
Macie was happy to get out of her stroller for a few minutes during lunch

Daddy was showing Macie how to throw a curve ball.
After the zoo, we headed to the arch. We actually went inside to use the restroom and look at the museum in there. I didn't want to take Macie up to the top just yet. It was quite an ordeal just to get in. You have to go through airport security. If we didn't have to use the restroom so badly, we would have skipped that part!

Me, standing in the spot where Brian proposed. We have a pic when I was pregnant with Macie, so I wanted one with Gavin. I am 21 1/2 weeks in this pic.

Fever

We went to St. Louis on Saturday and I just wasn't feeling quite right. On the way home I started feeling worse. I thought I was just worn out from the day. It didn't help that Macie screamed for the last hour and a half! She kept grabbing for me wanting me to get her out of her seat. I pretty much crashed not long after we got home and I didn't feel much better the next morning. I took my temp and realized I had a fever. It was up and down but the highest it got was 101.4. I was feeling pretty miserable! My parents came and got Macie for a few hours because, of course, she only wanted me. I called my doctor and they pretty much said to rest and keep taking my Tylenol. Well, my fever broke last night and I thought that I was good enough to go to school today. Boy was I wrong!!! I started fading fast and was home and back in bed by 10:00. My fever spiked back up. The nurse called to check on me and she called my doc to make sure I was doing everything I should. Because fever was my only real symptom, they think it is just viral. I am feeling better and am eating a little more, so I am hopeful I can make it through the day tomorrow. Especially since I am leaving school at 1:30 for my doctor's appointment. I have an ultrasound and a checkup so it will be good to make sure everything is OK. I have a lot of cute pics from Saturday to post, but I will have to get to those later!!!
