Thursday night, Gavin was more emotional than normal. He went to bed and woke up fine on Friday. As the morning went on at school, he looked terrible, so they took his temp. Sure enough, he had a fever. Brian left work, picked him up, and set up an appointment with Dr. Cochran. He couldn’t get in until the afternoon and Gavin was pathetic all afternoon. He took two naps and didn’t eat much. When we got to the doctor, they did a strep test even though his throat didn’t look too bad. Sure enough, it came back positive. He was prescribed meds and headed home. He had an MRI scheduled for the following Wednesday and Brian and I were freaking out about whether or not it would happen. It also changed the plans for the weekend.
