On Saturday, April 20th, we decided to walk in the TriFest 5k in Henderson. Brian’s work had a big group walking/running. At first, we had planned to only walk, but as the groups were taking off, I got a huge urge to run! Pushing strollers (that aren’t made for running), we ended up jogging/walking the whole thing. I hadn’t pushed myself like that in a long time and was grateful I did it! Crossing the finish line was a bit emotional for me. It was just so cool to do it as a family! We signed up for another 5k in May and we are all looking forward to it. The kids did great sitting in the strollers for that long!
The morning of the 5k was pretty chilly, so we bundled up the kids. They found a playground before it started, so they were excited about that, too!
