Chicken Hawk

The morning of Macie’s party, she stayed home with me to get everything ready while Daddy took the other two to run errands.  Macie went to take something outside for me and came running back  in saying that there was a big bird out there.  I went and looked and sure enough, there was something trying to get into the chickens.  I could tell it wasn’t going to be successful, so I just stayed back and watched.  I was able to snap a few pictures to show to Brian.  He looked it up and said it was a chicken hawk.  That is what I thought it was.  That opened up some discussions with the kids about Nature and the food chain.  The kids really are learning so much by having those ladies!
