Medical Updates ~ Brian

So much has happened since I've last posted about our Medical Madness.  I thought I would update about everything we've been going through lately.

Although we thought we were on a good path with Brian medically, we still knew that something wasn't quite right.  After trying to do everything we could at home, we took Brian back to the hospital.  After a long night in the emergency room and an ambulance ride to a different facility, Brian was admitted.  He spent 9 nights and 10 days in the hospital.  This was a long time, but at the same time, a very good thing.  I was able to visit Brian every day except one and the kids were even able to visit twice over Father's Day weekend.

When he was finally released, his medicine levels were close to therapeutic and we had a good plan in place.  The bad thing was that he lost his job and insurance.  We were able to fill up the meds to get us through. Overall, I would say that Brian is in a much better place.  However, every day is a new day and we never know what it will bring.  He ended up having 7 weeks off from work (counting the hospital stay) to regroup and focus on himself.

He just started a new job this week and he plans to start bartending next weekend.  We are still trying to deal with all of the medical bills.  He was in 4 different facilities overall.  We are also working to get him a new psychiatrist and therapist.  Hopefully, we can figure all of that out soon.
