Brian was off work this weekend. We took a trip to Madisonville yesterday afternoon and made several stops. We hadn't been there since Papaw's funeral, so it was a long overdue visit. Our first stop was Mamaw and Papaw's (Mitchell) house. It was a nice visit, but the kids were freaked out by their dog. They did warm up after a while and were thrilled when Papaw gave them each a pair of sunglasses. After that, we made a quick stop at Nanny's house. Then, we all went to eat at Country Cupboard. The Franklin side was having a reunion. After dinner, we changed the kids into pjs and headed home. Gavin was asleep before we got home because he hadn't taken a nap. Macie had a hard time with the fact that we were seeing Nanny and not Papaw. It brought up a lot of emotions. Bless her heart!
