Happy Birthday, Parker!

On Saturday, March 2nd, we headed to Owensboro to celebrate Parker’s 2nd birthday.  He had an Elmo and train theme.  The kids were very well behaved and had a great time playing with Parker.  We got Parker three dvds and some ABC puzzle cards.  The kids also made him a card  Parker loved blowing out his candle, so he did it three time!  It was so cute to watch him.  Happy Birthday Sweet Parker!  WE LOVE YOU!!!

At the end of the party, we randomly decided to let Gavin ride back with Aunt Katie so that he could spend the night with Grammie and Pops.  He never gets alone time there and we planned to go to Sturgis the next day for Katie’s shower.  Macie was not thrilled with this at all and had a major breakdown as we were leaving.  We tried to convince her we would have fun.  We got her a milkshake, went to Bed Bath and Beyond, the mall, and had Aunt Allie and Grandpa over for dinner.  That night, Macie was moping around and we realized she had a fever.  We let her cuddle and sent her to bed.  She woke up happy like nothing had happened.  Then, we find out that Gavin had been throwing up all night at Grammies and Lilah woke up with major diarrhea.  We had to totally change our plans and realized that we were not going to the shower that day.  Brian and Macie went to pick up Gavin and I stayed home with Lilah.  We were worried she would start throwing up, too.  I took advantage of the time and cuddled with her in-between doing some cooking for the week.

Brian and Macie took Aunt Katie her present.  She loved the mirror! Grammie was also kind enough to fix Macie’s dress for Aunt Annie’s wedding.  We spent the rest of the day with three whiney, clingy kids trying to make it and get some things done for the week.  We were super bummed that we missed Aunt Katie’s shower.

Brian and I thought we were in the clear, but no such luck.  Yesterday, we were both miserable all day long.  I’ll spare you the details, but it was not good.  And as I mentioned in a previous post, moms don’t get sick days!
