Easter in Sturgis

This morning we woke up to a rainy gloomy day. I was hoping it would clear up and the sun would come out because we had plans to have Easter in Sturgis. Luckily, the sun came out and it ended up being an absolutely beautiful day! It was nice to have Easter with Brian's family today because everyone could be there and we didn't have to rush and head anywhere else. The kids both got stuffed Easter baskets and Macie went on her first Easter egg hunt. Well, last year we had a "hunt" where we sat her on the deck, put a few eggs in front of her, and she would reach for an egg. This year is already so much more fun! She wasn't quite sure what to do at first. Especially since there were 9 adults staring at her every move! Once she got the hang of it, she loved every minute of it and squealed with delight! I think she was even disappointed when it was over. Good thing she will be going on another hunt tomorrow! When we got inside, she had fun helping me open all of her eggs and eating the yummy marshmellows and whale crackers that were inside. Gavin just watched this year, but I know that he will be running around with her next year!

She was so proud when she mastered getting in the chair by herself, but she struggles getting out of it without knocking it over.
How many eggs can one kid hold?
Look what I found!
Another egg!
It cracked me up that she was carrying her basket like I carry the carseat, in the crook of her arm. The other day she even tried to pick up the carseat that way. Too funny!
I wonder what's in here...
