Fishin’ At the Farm

We had a packed and fun 4th of July!  We started by heading to Owensboro to meet Aunt Beth, Uncle Wil, and Parker.  They invited us to go to Wil’s family farm to fish for the day.  The kids had never been fishing before, so we were all excited.  The weather looked grim, but we decided to risk it anyway.  It ended up raining the whole time we were there, but there was no lightening or thunder.  Beth and I stayed up at the cabin while the boys took the kids down to fish.  I was bummed that I didn’t actually get to see them fish or get in the boat, but the kids had a blast.   Brian took a few pictures for me on his phone and when they got on the boat, they came past the clearing and we could see them from the cabin porch.  It was nice to chat with Beth for a while, because we rarely get to do that.

Macie went first and then Parker and Gavin went together.  Macie and Gavin both touched the fish and got bobbers as souvenirs!  We packed a picnic lunch and brought lemonade.  Lilah didn’t get to fish, but she had fun getting filthy!  She did have a few meltdowns though, and I finally had to text Brian and tell him it was time to go.  All of the kids crashed on the way home.  Thanks Aunt Beth and Uncle Wil for inviting us!  We had so much fun and look forward to our next trip!
