New Tradition

This year we started a new Christmas tradition. I gathered up all of the Christmas books that we already had in the house. I wrapped each one in newspaper. Every night (well that is the plan anyway) we open one up and read it before bed. It is a way to count down the days until Christmas and it adds a little excitement. Plus, it gives Gavin some practice opening presents! I read about this on a blog two years ago, but this is the first year I've done it. Even though we haven't done it every night, it is so much fun! Macie picks a book to open and then we read the story before bed. Tonight, each kiddo opened a book because we didn't do it last night. This is a tradition that I plan to carry on for the next few years!
