Project Day

Last Sunday was "project day" in our house.  Brian brought home a bag of smoked chicken from the tavern, so I ended up taking it all off the bone and using it to make chicken pasta, chicken noodle soup, and adding some to bbq.  We also made ornaments like we do every year, finished our "Cookies for Santa" tray, made chocolate covered pretzels, and I finished making a few other gifts. It was a crazy busy day, but lots of fun!
*Warning: We haven't passed out the ornaments yet, so if you want to be surprised, don't scroll down!
Macie did a great job painting the ornaments brown

I love how the tray turned out!  Each child added chocolate chip fingerprints to one of the cookies.
The finished ornament!  I started making ornaments with Macie when she was one and we've made one each year.  It is our tradition and we give them to several family members.  Macie painted the brown, Gavin added black dots for eyes, and Lilah added a red dot for the nose.
