Because of the snow day yesterday, the Christmas Program was postponed (and later cancelled). Macie was NOT happy about this because she had been practicing her songs for days and was so excited. I decided to do something special and have a fancy dinner. We invited my parents and Allie over because they had planned to come to the program. The kids and I made butter cake and chocolate frosting from scratch. I also made breadsticks and turkey pasta bake. We set the table with a tablecloth from my grandma and some glasses from my Aunt Nancy. Macie and Gavin made place cards for everyone. It was nice to all sit together and do something special. The kids were beyond excited and the meal turned out delish!
