Rainbow Week

This week has been "Rainbow Week" in the Mitchell household.  Each day of the week, I picked a different color of the rainbow.  We looked for items/cars that color on the way home, wore that color clothes and pjs, ate foods that color, and did some projects.  Here are some pictures from the week:

Red Day:

Red Dinner: strawberries, pasta with sauce and pepperoni, cherries, tomatoes, red freezer pop
Each day, I gave them a crayon, pencil, marker, and stickers with the color.  We filled in a section of the paper.  We also started painting a rainbow.  I quickly realized I did it the wrong way.  The red should be on top, but oh well!
 Orange Day:
Daddy even wore orange!
Orange Dinner: Mac'n Cheese, Cheetos, orange, peaches, plum, orange freezer pop

 Yellow Day:

Gavin didn't have a yellow shirt, but he was happy when he realized that his Thomas shirt had yellow letters!
 Half Way There!

Yellow Dinner: lemon, banana, pineapple, eggs, yellow freezer pop

Green Day:

Green Dinner: Celery (with peanut butter), kiwi, banana pepper, lime, zucchini, guacamole

Blue Day:
 Blue Breakfast: blueberry pancakes
Purple Day:

Purple Dinner: Eggplant (with fish and potatoes)

 Finished Products:

I love that idea. What a great way to get the kids to eat all sorts of stuff too!
