Macie's Birthday Dinner

Aunt Allie and Grandpa joined us for Macie's birthday dinner tonight. She requested pizza so we ordered two large pizzas from Papa John's. Allie and Grandpa bought the pizza and we are very grateful! Macie and I ate a cheese and pineapple pizza. The other day, Macie kept trying to steal our pineapples off of our Hawaiian BBQ pizza, so we thought she would love pineapple on her own pizza. Macie loved the pizza, but she also ate carrots and some yogurt. I think she was in heaven! We had the cookies she helped me make as dessert. We are sending some cookies to daycare tomorrow so that she can share them with her friends.
After dinner, it was time for presents. Brian and I saved our gifts until today. She had two Minnie Mouse bags to open. I told her she got two presents because she was 2, but Brian said that we better not start that! We'll have a hard time keeping up in future years! We got Macie an Elmo potty seat, four books, Dr. Seuss ABC cards, and a pink glitter ball. We plan to start potty training soon, so the seat will come in handy. Macie was excited about all of her gifts! After presents, it was time for baths. Then play time, followed by bed. She didn't even fuss! What a fun and exhausting birthday!
