Big Girl Bed

I kept Macie and Gavin out of their room all day so that they wouldn't get in the way and I wanted to unveil the room to Macie. This is a big change for her. Not only was she changing rooms, but she was now going to have toys in her room and a big girl bed! We brought Macie in and she was so excited! It was so neat to watch her take it all in and marvel at all of the changes. It made all of the hard work worth it! Macie was thrilled that there were toys in her room, but she had a hard time staying in there by herself. I'm sure she will get used to it as time goes on.
Tonight was the first night in her toddler bed. Essentially, we just took the front off of her crib. Before bed, she kept getting in and out of her bed. She thought it was so cool! Bedtime was a different story! During the first five minutes, she fell out of bed and I put her back in her bed 15 or more times. After that, she miraculously stayed in her bed! I kept checking on her, but she didn't get back up and finally fell asleep. About an hour later, we heard a loud thud. We went running in the room only to find her sound asleep in her bed. The thud turned out to be a box of books crashing down in the unorganized office. Thank God! Let's just pray that the transition to her toddler bed was really that easy!

Macie very quickly discovered her baby doll stroller and other stuff she got last year for her birthday but we never opened up the box!
