Macie has gotten a few more presents from people who weren't able to make it to her party. The
Broekers stopped by last Sunday and gave
Macie an adorable tea pot. The
Raineys stopped by this afternoon and brought
Macie two outfits and matching
hair bows. Tonight, Aunt Katie and Uncle Josh brought
Macie some gymnastic outfits, a Sleepover dog, sticker album with stickers, Hi Ho
Cherryo, and a Dora Color Wonder book. Yes, she is spoiled. The problem is, when someone comes to bring
Macie a gift, she is a complete and total brat! She gets shy/bashful and hides behind me or Brian. She won't open the gift, say thank you, or make eye contact with the other person. It is completely and totally
embarrassing. I'm not sure how to handle this situation. It's not every day that people stop by with gifts, but I don't want her to act like an ungrateful brat. I guess this is something we are going to have to figure out how to deal with. She does end up saying thank you before they leave, but we have to threaten her with the gift. Not fun...
