Gavin and I had a pretty crazy day last week. I had him home on Monday because we had other plans on Wednesday. I took Gavin to the library to see an “Animal Underground” show. It was pretty cool. We saw an armadillo, snake, bat, tortoise, and hawk. We even got to pet the tortoise at the end!
During the show, we could hear the thunder and rain. When we got outside, it was pouring! We ran to the car and drove straight home. It was raining so hard it was difficult to see. We went inside for lunch and nap. After nap, we decided to look around outside because the rain had stopped. We walked down the street a bit and saw all of the flooding. It was crazy. I could tell Gavin was dying to get in the water so I took off our shoes and socks and we walked in a bit. We bumped into our neighbor, Leah, and her godson, Grant. We went back to the house to get the camera and decided to embark on a little adventure. The water got pretty deep! It was past my knees! The boys had so much fun and even went for a ride in Leah’s wagon! Gavin’s legs also got a good workout!
The boys had a lot of fun and we hope to get them together again soon!

We were out of town on vacation and our crawl space, basement and garage flooded!
