Macie’s Day–Take 1

Last year, Macie’s day was always first, so she had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the fact that it was last this year.  We started out the day taking a walk around the neighborhood.  I pushed her in the umbrella stroller and boy was that a workout!  After our walk, we went to her appointment with Dr. Angie (the therapist).  Macie was super brave and Angie was very impressed that she went back all by herself.  She talked Dr. Angie’s ear off and then they came to get me for a while.  Dr. A was super impressed with the progress Macie had made.  It’d been two months since she’d seen Macie.  Ever since Father prayed over her and gave her that necklace, Macie has been a completely different child!  She doesn’t talk about things as much and is overall happier.  We decided she didn’t need to see Dr. Angie again at this time, but that we could call her at any time!

The rest of the day, we went to the mall (although she wouldn’t play because there weren’t any other kids there), Kohls, and Walmart.  Macie was super good and got to pick out some candy.  The highlight of the day was our tea party lunch!  We got Macie a nice tea set for Christmas and we hadn’t had a chance to use it yet.  Macie got all dressed up and I made us lunch.  It was so fun eating with her at the little table all set up and to see her excitement!  The first week of one on one days was fun and next week, the library programs start!
