Hotel Fun

After the zoo, we went to our hotel.  We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Forest Park, so it was super close.  There was a bit of a hold up when we were checking in because we really wanted adjoining rooms so that we could hang out for a bit after the kids went to bed.  Only one room was clean, so we took all of our stuff into that room.  Then, we headed to eat dinner at Joey B's.  The food was so good.  We had a bbq chicken pizza, fried pickles, and cheesy bread.  Yummy!  The restaurant was super close, so that was nice.  After dinner, we went back to the hotel to swim.  On the way upstairs we picked up a few warm chocolate chip cookies from the lobby:) 

Our room was ready so we set everything up.  The room was a really nice size.  We brought two pack-n-plays for Lilah and Gavin.  Macie slept on a pull out sleeper sofa and we had a king sized bed.  With all of that, we still had plenty of room!  Macie and Gavin haven't really been in a big pool very much so this was a whole new experience.  They loved it, but the water was freezing!  They were even jumping off the sides into our arms.  Mom kept Lilah up in the room while we swam for a bit.  She was super unhappy.  I think it was a long day for her.  After swimming, we put the kids in bed.  While they were settling down, Dad, Allie, and went down to the lounge for our free drink.  I had a margarita, which was long overdue!  Then it was back upstairs to hang out for a while before going to sleep.  In the morning, Brian ran, we showered, packed up, and headed downstairs for breakfast.  With our room, we got a twenty dollar credit to the restaurant downstairs.  The kids ate free so we only gave a tip for our meal.  The food was good and we got plenty of it!  After breakfast, we finished packing up and got ready for our next stop!
