Macie's Day Take 2

Tuesday, I spent the day with Macie.  We had a fun day planned!  For breakfast, I made Macie french toast, something she loves.  Then, we got ready for the day and went grocery shopping at Walmart.  The kids don't get to go shopping with us all of the time, so they think it is so cool and special to go to Walmart or Target.  It's the little things people!  We hadn't had a chance to shop over the weekend, so I had a big list.  Thankfully, I convinced Macie to sit in the back of the cart with all of the "ingredients".  She did very well and I even bought her a new chapstick.  After shopping, we dropped off our stuff at home and headed to Central library.  She picked out some books and movies and played for a bit before we headed home.  We ate lunch and then started on her workbooks from Santa.  He brought her a few workbooks to start getting ready for pre-school.  We did two pages in each book and she was so excited!
After that, it was naptime.  Once she was up from her nap, I brushed her teeth and got her ready to go to the dentist.  Macie had only been once before and while it wasn't horrible, she was very nervous and would only sit on my lap.  This time, she was much braver!  She sat in the chair (although hesitant), watched the movie, and was so good!  She let the "girl" brush and floss her teeth.  She also let the "boy" look at her teeth.  Overall, Macie got an A!  That is two times in a row.  They were so impressed and said over and over how that doesn't happen that often.  We have to keep up the good work!  I made the next appointment for Macie and one for Gavin, too.  Thankfully, I was able to get them over Christmas break, so once again I don't have to miss work.  Macie left with a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, a pink balloon, and two stickers.  What more could a girl want?
Macie Funny at the dentist: When we were in the room waiting, she was looking at some pictures on the wall.  They were of the dentist and his two kids.  They were funny pictures of them brushing each other's teeth and brushing a pair of false teeth.  Macie started freaking out because she thought all of her teeth were going to come out like that.  I had a reassure her that it wouldn't happen.
Macie and I spent the rest of the day at home playing and making dinner.  What a great day!
